More (fake) Asks

Anon: I've got some older mates who are about a year above me with me being thirteen and they're around 14 to 15. They asked me to go to a party on Saturday and I believe that they'll all be taking alcohol. I'm telling my parents that I'm staying with a friend and I know it's bad so I'm feeling nervous. What do I do?

Me: Well Anon, it seems you've got a real problem. The first problem here is that you are all underaged so this stuff will screw up your brain a lot. The legal age is 18 and you're quite far off from that. Alcohol can be really bad for you and your friends considering you're all way too young. The effects will be worse on you than most others so I recommend taking a few bottles of ginger beer instead if you insist on going.

Lying to your parents isn't the best thing to do but I find it understandable but look at the facts: You're going to a party with people older than you where there is going to be a lot of alcohol and nobody knows where you are. Well at least not somebody who'll be sober enough to call if something happens to you.

Also please try to keep in mind that drinking at your age is against the law and you could go to jail for things like this.

If you can muster up enough courage than you can address them about your issue. If they're truly your friends they'll care enough about what you're so worried over and will help you out themselves.

In the end the choice to drink is always up to you but try to think of the future. Think of what will happen to you if you keep going down this track.
