Next year I will be leaving Tauranga Intermediate School to go to Tauranga Girls College (TGC) and will hopefully have a great experience there.
Today I was alongside all the other year eight girls who planned to go to TGC for next year and we were introduced to one of the deputy principals, Mrs Ferguson, our deans, Mrs Keightly and Mrs Glazer-brown along with the top four (students) where one of which was the head girl, Adriana Bird.
In the first group of minutes we were told about the school's motto; Pergo et Perago which means I go on and finish. I take this to mean we keep on going and achieve in the end.
After the short briefing in the school hall we were taken on tours around the vast area and I grew a little nervous finding that I might get lost in the first week. My favourite two parts of the school was the awesome pool that looked like it was a part of an enclosure and the upper field that looked as if we were on a mountain.
In the end we were moved away and I couldn't help but feel excitement for college (still can't!) although it's a while away. I mainly can't wait for my classes that I picked so that I can fully enjoy it.

Dialogue post
Create a dialogue which illustrates the following scenarios.
1. A discussion with Miss C over behavior (Generally over the year)
Miss C: So Maia, how do you think your behavior has been this year?
Me: I think I've been pretty okay. I haven't really been too bad in my opinion.
Miss C: That sounds reasonable. I think you've done quite well in class with listening to others and helping out around the class. You're also good at adding to discussions.
Miss C: However I do think you need to improve on being more organised, especially for college next year. You need to learn how to finish things as well, like your homework.
Me: Alright, I'll do my best to improve on that.
Miss C: Great, you may go back to your seat now.
2. Mrs Mills talking to us about the final Y8 assembly.
Mrs Mills: You've all held out well this year, Rimu year eights.
Rimu (Year eights): Thanks.
Rimu (Year eights): Thanks.

Dialouging
1) Elderly couple on a walk.
Jane: Oh, the sun looks like it'll be coming out today, why don't we go on a walk?
Jack: I suppose that would be nice and maybe we can visit the grandkids.
Jane: Sounds lovely, I'll grab my hat and be out.
Jack: Come on, before the clouds hide the sun again!
Jane: I'm on my way.
Jack: Alright, let's go then.
2) Teenager asking for a raise in pocket money.
Teen: Hey, Mum. Can I have some more money?
Mum: What for?! I just gave you some last week!
Teen: But it wasn't much!
Mum: Ugh, go ask your father
Teen: Daaaaaad!
Dad: What?!
Teen: Mum won't give me any money!
Dad: If you mow the lawns I'll raise your pocket money by four dollars but that's it.
Teen: Uggghh…I'll as grandma!
3)Rock, Paper and scissors arguing over who's better.
Rock: Hey guys! Don't you think I'm the best?
Scissors: What's that supposed to mean?
Scissors: Are you implying that you're better than us?
Paper: If you are, it's not very nice.
Rock: I do think I'm better, but that's not the point d--
Scissors interrupts
Scissors: And how are you better than me?
Scissors: I'm sharp and I cut through things.
Rock: But I smash you easily so that you're only blunt.
Scissors: I still have a fluid motion and I'm easy to throw.
Rock I can smash, be thrown and used to hit.
Scissors: You're stupid and used only for physical damage.
Paper: Well I'm smooth, nice and…Rock are you crying?
Rock:…Shut up.
Paper: Here, I'll give you a hug.
Rock: Paper, you're the best!
Scissors: I concur.

Waimarino Poem
Practice/Example
Ah,
It's pitiful
How we live
In such a world
As if there is reason
Reason to ignore those who call
People are very selfish creatures
Who never care for
Those who are
Forever in
Pain
~
Waimarino
Cold
That's one
A word describing
The day we experienced
In joy we splashed away
Freezing water enveloping us
And if pulled
We wandered
Away

Attitude Animal
Using a website introduced by a speaker named Dave I was able to determine that my animal is an even mix of a Golden Retriever and an Otter with both having 34% (But it only showed the golden retriever ._.) I shall call it the Golden Otter :D
The traits that decide to pull golden retriever out include being a good listener, a peace maker being thoughtful, adaptable and being able to avoid arguments. I do agree with this although it does mean I'm a bit of a pushover I can still say no over certain things. Loyalty also comes through under this and it's something I like to call myself I suppose.
On the Otter side it would come from being peppy, friendly, fun loving and basically a happy person. I think this is basically just the side of me that's weird and funny..

12 Hour Relay - Can't get enough!
Friday November the first,
A day when we all disperse,
To play games all day,
Before going away
Finding things to quench our thirsts.
Warmth spread all through the field,
Causing the majority of us to yield.
It was fun through and through
With always something to do,
Using treetops and sunscreen as a shield.
~
I stood at the start of the track
The beginning I started out slack
The longer things went
The more energy I spent
I felt I was
